The last few weeks have been a bit of a disaster in terms of eating wise. All last week i didn't track and my weight has been climbing up again. Today I weighed myself, a day before i usually do and i was at 174.5 lbs so my weight has jumped up 4 lbs - Probably some of it is water retention but still.
I have been uber busy working on another challenge, called the write a novel in november challenge and have been busy writing writing writing. Im now almost at 36 k (ooo) words so im getting there.
This is the start of a new day, im tracking! Also, my blood sugar has been out of wack too, it could be due to the fact that i wasn't tracking or maybe its the weather or what but anyways ,i have to get that under control.
Started a new exercise regimen this week - with jogging and swimming! Went 2 x joggin and 2 x swimming.
Hope to keep it up for next week - my goal for next week (starting today) is to track track track

Today is a beautiful day - time to get back on track after Halloween madness
The menu:
2 ww bread with pb and jam - 5
1 small choc bar and small cupcake - 5
1/2 cup strawberries - 0.5
balance = 24 - 10.5 = 13.5
1/2 cup tomatoes - 0
2 pizza pops - 12
balance = 1.5
2 lite pumpkin muffins - 2
ap - 3 - going for 60 minute walk
weigh in is tommorow so i hope i can stay the same..

Okay well today was a beautiful day, i stopped and took some photos of leafs.. i will try and post them too

1 6 inch sub (7?)
bal = 10.5 + 2 ap = 12.5

1 square dark chocolate - 1

1 cup cider = 2
balance = -0.5
ta ta for now
I also snuck in a peak on the scale - my weight fluctuates about 3-4 pds depending on the time of day! crazy!

chopsticks !! staying on track !

Last night, after a day of eating little i got chinese food which was delish but i know way over my points value of 24. Its been a hard week for me in terms of getting back on track from the turkey effect, when i went home and ate turkey and baked goods. Oh well, today is a new today and im attempting to make another serious attempt. Its all part of the journey, although i would like to be down another 5 pounds by november 15th.
In an effort to be more accountable about my eating, i will post here what my meal plan for the day is and my goal for this week is to stay within my points and blog my menu every day:

2 small bran muffins (6)
1 cup activia yogurt (4)
2 pieces ww bread and lite cheese (6)
diet coke (0)
balance = 24-16= 8
1 cup berries (1)
1 cup soup = 3
3 squares lindt chocolate = 4
1 hot chocolate - 1
ap - 2 or 3

Taking care of business (everyday)

So today was a good day - i finally hunkered down after a week of not really paying attention to what i was shoving in my mouth. I did eat some nuts and chocolate but in moderation, i also went for a rather long walk and did some squats and lunges! I watched this video on youtube about weight loss and it was really motivational. The woman talked about taking really small steps towards losing poundage and so that is what im going to do. This week's goal is to track everything and stay op. Its going to be hard when i head home for Thanksgiving but im hoping i can plan one day where i will have a treat and the other days I will be good. Im really looking forward to seeing the fall leaves, hiking and catching up with the fam. Im also hoping to do some baking and hope the fam will eat it all so i don't have to :) ha !
ps. Im also buying a scale tommorow! whoo!

Twas gone for a week

Today is a new day - monday, and im hoping to get back on track. After a week of travelling around and eating lots of nuts ( as the photo below will attest to) I am attempting to get back in control. Last night i ate some chips and chocolate -- those are the 2 worst things to have and lose weight. Anyways, i would like to lose about 5 pounds in october. I think the weight that i have lost may have come back - i think i need to buy a scale and check this.
In terms of this weeks goals, im trying to stop mindless eating. wish me luck
Also, i need to start doing lunges and squats again.

Need to stick to the plan yet i love to eat

Well today was a good day - went to an interesting discussion, met with a friend for lunch and then went for a nice swim. Im trying to swim 3 times per week now, 3o minutes per time.
In terms of healthy eating, i was doing good until about 7pm when i got a really bad craving for chips and ended up buying a 150g bag and eating the whole thing! yikes!
Oh well, I have written it down and will stick OP tommorow
I have also figured out, i really like to chew, the sensation is nice.. So i now like to chew a piece of gum after dinner instead of mindless snacking.. now i need to go out and buy lots of nice gum!

Fall is moving in

Well today im sitting on my butt doing reading and researching for my thesis...
Other than that, i hope to get out and enjoy the cool fall air and go to the market to get some fresh veggies..
I love this time of year , the caucophony of colourful leaves and the way the clouds turn that intense payne's grey

Gossip girls and pizza whirls

Well I just finished watching the latest episode of GG and it was fabulous!
In other news, Day three of my stricter eating regimen is going well -- i think the key to weight loss is all about portion control... today i had some pizza and chocolate ,, so tommorow and sunday I will eat light and then hope for a good weigh in on tuesday..
I went for a swim today and took a sneak peak at the scale - down 1.5 lbs! (I know its kind of early but im hoping for a simliar result next week)
Im thinking of rewards for my weight loss goals.. any ideas?
Also, this weekend is going to be a challenge for me, i always find weekends the hardest -- but this weekend i will try and get lots of excercise and go to the market to get fresh veggies.. So readers, what is your most challenging time of the week to eat healthy? Any tips?
Im hoping to start crocheting something nice soon for the fall --

Beautiful day

Well today marks my re-committment to healthy eating and being. I have always struggled with overeating and hoping this blog will help distract me and perhaps my readers can contribute points, successes struggles etc.
I like to think of everything as an adventure, and thus this one is one with weight. As a nurse once told me, everyone struggles with the battle of the bulge. Well the battle is on!
In other news, im heading to a wine and cheese tonight and have budgeted for one glass of wine -
